The challenge of reaching Batanes

August 11, 2015- the day I booked for my flight going to Basco, Batanes

August 20 - scheduled departure day from Manila to Basco.
                          - it was cancelled due to super typhoon Ineng (Goni)

August 23 - re-booked but cancelled due to weather condition.

August 26 - finally reached Basco, Batanes.


The excitement as I finally reached the northernmost part of Philippines. I've never been this far, if I didn't take the challenge to go and push through with it.
The sweetness of  traveling here, is following your passion and the joy of your heart to explore new things.

At first, my Mother disapproved my itinerary going here. Well,  my Father was on my side so I  stick to my plan, and thanks God I am here.

Meedhoo (Dhaalu Atoll)

Meedhoo Island is located in Dhaalu Atoll and the fast developing island compared to other islands in the Maldives.
This local inhabited island was severely hit by the 2004 tsunami. However, the people worked hard to restore and rebuild what has been lost.
The main economical  work done in this island is fishing.

Good morning Velavaru

I wake up 6:30 in the morning as my clock starts to alarm. Still groggy, I get up, fix my bed and immediately go to the bathroom. Afterwards, I prepare myself. 

I grab my cute GoPro and press the recording button.

The recording starts from our accommodation up to the beach side of Angsana Velavaru.
